The Role of Press, Politicians and Academia. But, if ignorance of the most rudimentary facts is the true culprit, that raises the question, how have the normal channels for educating people about social policy questions failed so completely? After all, most people believe what they read and hear in the media. Most people are not experts. Thomas Sowell Basic Economics A Common Sense Guide to the Economy Basic Books (2014) Viktor Reznov. Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it. One of our pro2 pluses was just turned on for the first time in probably more than a year and the touchscreen is completely non-responsive. Is it possible to get the IP and serial from the machine without using the touchscreen so I can just control it from my computer? Any other workarounds? I tried resetting the machine and power cycling it several times to no avail.

2022.01.27 13:45 United_Asparagus8827 Looking for someone to takeover accomodation (New Hall, en-suite)
So, I'm looking for a UCL postgrad student to takeover the licence agreement for my room in New Hall. This is an en-suite room, shared kitchen, £213 per week. Just send me a message if you are interested or if you know someone who is. Alternatively, if you know a Facebook group where those kind of things are posted, don't hesitate. I really can't keep that room, so any help would be much appreciated.

2022.01.27 13:45 wordsandmagic My 600$ per month budget in Vietnam
I've lived in Vietnam for quite a while now and I just wanted to make a post to show how it works in other countries.
My rent for a small studio - 6 million vnd ($250)
My electricity bill - 1 million vnd (40$)
Motorbike rent and petrol - 1 million (40$)
Food at home - 2 million vnd (80$)
Street food - 2 million vnd (80$)
Social life - 2 million vnd (80$) - we were lucky here as a beer is 50 cents so a night out is 5 dollars usually.
If anyone has any questions about life their then let me know. I've also lived in Thailand too.
You can get house shares for 150$ a month there and you can not run a bike (but they are essential in the big cities). I could live off 500$ per month if I was more frugal.

I suppose the lockdown period really made people into this addiction, at least with a higher rate. I wonder if it's the same with you guys. If that's true, then we should definitely avoid staying alone/inactive for most of the day.

2022.01.27 13:45 UnusuallyMysterious Assorted FNAF Theories
So I was re-reading the Silver Eyes Trilogy (The graphic novels, I don't hate myself) and I started thinking more about the implications. I know that they aren't technically canon, but Scott did say they helped piece some parts of the actual story. This got me thinking about other parts of the series as well, and as such I have a few theories I'd like to share here!
1) The glitches tell the true story
Scott, in FNAF VR, made it clear that he made the FNAF games in the FNAF universe as asked of him by Fazbear Entertainment. However, through FNAF VR, we never see any references to Pizzeria Simulator, and that is because Pizzeria Simulator actually happened. The events in FNAF 1-5 were 'inspired' by the real life events occurring at Fazbear locations, as stated in the opening monologue of FNAF VR, and as such we see the characters from those games, but nothing in Pizzeria Simulator carries over into FNAF VR.
I was watching a previous theory of Mat's, where he talked about the glitched in FNAF World and how the corresponded to the previous games. This provided the explanation for the minigames in FNAF 2 and 3, but that's not the only places glitches are seen.
If we look at the games as they are - games as part of the game universe (God this is confusing) it doesn't make sense for Fazbear entertainment to greenlight a game where it shows ghosts enacting their vengeance on a man, who then brutally dies. It doesn't make sense for them to greenlight a game where a child's head gets bit off or a child getting scooped by an animatronic, and it doesn't make sense for them to show things which Scott (In the game universe) would obviously not know.
Looking at this, as well as Glitchtrap, it seems as though the spirits of the dead children are using these games to help whoever we play as understand what happened, not only to them but to him.
The FNAF Logbook shows a conversation going on between two people, writing on the pages. The security guard was the person who owned the book, considering the name 'Mike' is crossed out. Here's the thing though - the name is crossed out by the same pen that whoever owned this book previously was. This seems like speculation until you see that the corrections are written on sticky notes, while the red pen was only used by the Security Guard, a.k.a. Michael Afton.
The children are telling him his name. His story. Where they are and how to free their souls. This is why just doing the minigames gives you the good ending of FNAF 3, because like Glitchtrap, they're tied to electronic pieces.
Another piece of evidence for this theory are the Lore-keeper minigames from PS:
